The American organization focuses on Nitro and electric powerboat racing. All entries are to be based on IMPBA classifications. Other organizations include the North American Model Boat Association (NAMBA) and its sister enterprise in the UK, the Model Power Boat Association. These concentrate more on model building rather than solely racing. The World Organization for model shipbuilding is Naviga, though similar bodies are found in across the world in Denmark, Holland, Austria, Australia, Sweden, Germany and New Zealand. Clearly RC Power boats have grown into a popular hobby and sport worldwide.
